Job Title:
Heart Failure ICU Nurse Practitioner (Full-Time Nights)

Position Details:

  • Schedule: Full-Time, Night Shift

  • Shifts: 12-hour shifts (paid for 40 hours per week)

  • Weekends/Holidays: Rotating schedule

  • Call: No call requirement

  • Location: Based in the Texas Medical Center

  • Credentialing Timeline: 2–3 months

Qualifications:

Education & Certification:

  • Must hold certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP)

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of RN or NP experience in Critical Care required

  • Cardiology experience preferred

  • New graduate NPs must have at least 2+ years of ICU RN experience

Training Provided:

  • Specialized training on:

    • VV/VA ECMO

    • Mechanical Circulatory Support

    • Heart and Lung Transplant care

    • LVAD management

    • Post-Operative Cardiac Surgery patients

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care through assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management.

  • Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team across the full spectrum of care—from admission to discharge.

  • Maintain compliance with the Texas Nurse Practice Act and uphold all organizational standards of clinical practice.
