Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - NYC

About the Opportunity

A leading cardiology practice in Manhattan is seeking a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with renowned cardiologists and provide high-quality cardiac care to diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments and physical exams
• Manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions under the supervision of a cardiologist
• Interpret diagnostic tests, including EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and lab results
• Perform follow-up visits and medication management
• Educate patients and families about cardiovascular disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and treatment plans
• Document all patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Assist in hospital rounds and coordination of inpatient to outpatient transitions (if applicable)
• Participate in practice quality initiatives and team meetings

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in New York State
• Certification as an NP or PA required (ANCC, AANP, NCCPA, etc.)
• Cardiology experience strongly preferred, but new graduates with strong interest in cardiology are encouraged to apply
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
