- Cardiology patients (general, heart failure, Interventional & EP)
• Support Staff: 20 RNs, 10 APPs, 18 MAs
• Case Mix: Cardiac ICU
• Duties:
- Patient Floor call, IP/hospital work, rounds, ER consults & clinic; Telehealth-for bad weather days
- Discharges: Work w/ Hospitalists to ensure Cardiology has a discharge plan communicated so Hospitalist can discharge upon their care plan is completed.
- Post Procedure follow ups (Heart Failure, AMI, EP hospital discharge)
• Procedures: Nuclear, Echo & Treadmill stress testing & ECMO.
• Trauma Level: I
• No. of Beds: 144
• EMR: Epic
• Other Info:
- APPs are not responsible for performing any cardiac testing on IP & OP. These tests are available for ordering.
- Cardiology is consulting service only. Patients are not admitted by Cardiology.
• Required to Supervise APPs: Yes
