Summary:

Westchester Medical Center, a member of the WMCHealth Network is currently seeking a Thoracic Nurse Practitioner who will work directly with the Chief of Thoracic Surgery and Thoracic Surgery Outpatient Team at WMC.The NP will be expected to coordinate comprehensive outpatient pre-operative assessment and postoperative care of thoracic surgery patients at WMC, MRHR and the Health Alliance satellite offices. The NP will see patients with the thoracic staff in the WMC Ambulatory Care Pavilion and Heart Center in the MHRH Atrium in our weekly thoracic clinics and less frequently, independently for established patients during off hours. The thoracic NP attends the weekly Thoracic Tumor board zoom conference and communicates recommendations to referring MDs and patients and/or schedules additional testing. The Thoracic NP position involves no night or weekend call.

Education:

Graduation from an accredited NP program.

Training/License:

License and current registration issued by the New York State Education Department as a Nurse Practitioner or eligibility to obtain license along with a DEA license.
