Our client, one of the largest primary and specialty care practices in New York, is hiring a Nurse Practitioner, Cardiology for their Queens location. Provide cardiovascular medicine and imaging to patients in collaboration with cardiology physicians. Join a team dedicated to top-notch care for cardiac patients.
Responsibilities:

- Obtain and document patient history as appropriate to chief complaint or reason for visit.
- Conduct relevant physical exam and evaluate patient, documenting pertinent findings.
- Provide care for adult patients who have cardiovascular complaints and conditions.
- Conduct and supervise cardiac diagnostic testing.
- Order appropriate laboratory examinations or tests; interpret results.
- Establish diagnosis of cardiovascular ailments and formulate a plan of treatment, as well as assess the patient’s response to therapy
- Diagnose and treat heart disease and manage chronic illness as part of a preventative maintenance program
- Educate patients and their families with regard to cardiovascular condition prevention and maintenance.
- Prescribe medication in accordance with New York State and federal law.
- Collaborate with other clinicians and staff members to ensure continuity of care of patients.
Qualifications:
- Nurse Practitioner: Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN)
- Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner education program registered by the New York State Education Department.
- 1+ years’ experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner treating cardiovascular medical conditions.
- Current Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner from a New York State approved accrediting body – American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
- Current, unencumbered New York State Nursing (RN) license.
- Active Medicare/Medicaid Enrollment or be eligible to enroll.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Strong communication skills both oral and written.
- Ability to use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system and Microsoft Office
