ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Heart & Vascular Care, located in Ahoskie, North Carolina, are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join their Heart Failure team. The successful candidate will provide care to heart failure patients in both Ahoskie and Greenville, NC. Applicants must be certified as an ANP, FNP, ACNP or AGNP. 1-2 years of practice experience in cardiology is preferred.

ECU Health Heart Failure practices provide comprehensive heart failure care close to home for residents of eastern, North Carolina. Clinical teams focus on the patient as a whole and strive to educate and assist the patient with medications, lifestyle changes, and family support. Clinical teams collaborate with providers in the local community as well as heart failure specialists throughout the region.

  • Clinical responsibilities will include inpatient consults and outpatient clinical care at ECU Health’s Ahoskie locations and outpatient clinical care at ECU Health’s Greenville location
  • Monday –Friday schedule including 3 days per week in Ahoskie and 2 days per week in Greenville
  • No call
  • Required ACLS certification from the American Heart Association
  • Ability to live in Ahoskie or Greenville (1 hour commute)

ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital is a 114-bed community hospital located in Ahoskie. Serving four nearby counties, the hospital’s 15-bed emergency department serves approximately 21,000 patients per year. This modern facility provides a wide range of health services, including medical, surgical and radiation oncology. In addition, ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan’s Wound Healing and Pain Management centers serve as referral centers for neighboring ECU Health hospitals and providers.
