Department of Medicine / Cardiology – Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

The Division of Janey Briscoe Cardiology in the Department of Medicine, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio (UTHSA) is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, Advanced Practice Provider (APP).

Minimum Requirements:

• For Nurse Practitioner (NP) a Master’s of Nursing is required, a Doctorate of Nursing practice is preferred, and licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
• NP must have national certification to practice as a nurse practitioner and hold a Texas Board of Nursing license
• For Physician Assistant (PA) is required to have a bachelor’s degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position and completion of an accredited Physician Assistant Program is required
• Preferably Cardiology specialty trained
• PA must have a Texas State Board-issued license
