Our client is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide outpatient behavioral health services to developmentally disabled patients within a social services healthcare setting. Care is delivered either in patients’ medical homes or at program/clinic office locations. This role offers exceptional flexibility, with options for part-time (as little as two days per week) or full-time (37.5 hours), and schedules that can accommodate early mornings, evenings, or weekends based on provider preference. This is an excellent opportunity for a Psych NP who values autonomy, work-life balance, and meaningful patient care.

Job Description:


Compensation : $120000 - $260000 Job ID : 42598

Job Function:

  • Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ongoing treatment for developmentally disabled patients.

  • Deliver outpatient behavioral health services in medical home and clinic-based settings.

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including nurses, therapists, and support staff.

  • Document care and maintain compliance with regulatory and clinical standards.

  • Participate in care planning within a social services–focused environment.

  • Option to support leadership or medical oversight responsibilities in the future, depending on regulatory changes and provider interest.


Job Requirements:

  • Nurse Practitioner degree with appropriate clinical training.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

  • Strong preference for experience working with Article 16 / developmentally disabled populations.

  • Active New York State Nurse Practitioner license.

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner degree with appropriate clinical training.

Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
