Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Location: Near Palm Springs, CA (Cathedral City)
Schedule: Full-Time | Must be available Tuesday–Thursday
Setting: Detox & Residential Treatment Program

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Psych NP or PA to join our residential behavioral health program near Palm Springs, CA. This role is primarily psychiatric, working within a detox/residential program in Cathedral City, with occasional medical support as appropriate. Candidates must have strong substance abuse (SA) experience and be comfortable working with dual-diagnosis patients. Providers with a Psych NP, dual Psych/FNP, or PA background are encouraged to apply—must be willing to manage both psychiatric and medical needs as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and ongoing medication management for residential and detox patients.

  • Support medical needs within scope, especially for dual-diagnosis and SA-related conditions.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary clinical teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

  • Participate in care planning, treatment team meetings, and continuity-of-care efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Psych NP, Psych/FNP, or Physician Assistant in the state of California.

  • Experience required—must have a background working with substance abuse (SA) populations.

  • Comfortable treating both psychiatric and medical issues in a residential treatment setting.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
