Our client in Ashtabula County, OH is in need of Permanent Addiction Medicine Nurse Practitioners!

Job Details:

  • Start ASAP
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience working as a PMHNP in the Behavioral Health field, with specific knowledge in working with patients with substance use disorders.
  • Work with inpatient population

The facility utilizes the 12-Step model of recovery combined with medical interventions to accommodate the needs of patients while sustaining high quality care. We provide holistic treatment for alcohol and drug dependency, always keeping in mind that every person is unique.
  • Collaborates with leadership and support teams to develop, maintain and execute an integrated primary care and mental health model of care for patients with substance use disorders
  • Be an integral member of the treatment team by providing psychiatric direct services daily for check in’s, initial evaluations, follow ups and response to patients in crisis
  • Provide training and continuing education for staff members related to psychiatric/mental health topics and other clinical evidence based practices
  • Participate in research opportunities when presented
  • Assists with clinical program development in collaboration with the Clinical Program Manager and Director of Nursing
  • Work with minimal supervision; must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Strong leadership, communication, organizational and time management skills.
  • Must live within a 40-mile radius or be willing to relocate

Job Requirements:

  • Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - REQUIRED
  • OH license (or willing to obtain) - REQUIRED
  • DEA (or able to obtain prior to start) - REQUIRED
  • Completed Buprenorphine training requirement prescribing (or in process) - REQUIRED
  • 3+ years of work experience as Psychiatric NP working with substance abuse disorders (not including RN experience) – REQUIRED
