Salary Range: $110,000 – $155,000 (Union position; rate based on experience, non-negotiable)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our financial leadership team at Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay, Oregon. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the company's financial activities, including accounting, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls and financial procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
- Evaluate existing accounting processes, identify areas for improvement, and recommend efficiencies to reduce costs and enhance productivity.
- Collaborate with department leaders to develop realistic budgets and forecasts, monitoring variances and providing actionable insights.
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of accounts and oversee audit processes.
- Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes that impact financial management and reporting practices.
- Supervise finance staff, providing leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
- Proven experience in financial management within a healthcare or similar complex organization.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and internal control standards.
- Advanced proficiency with accounting software, spreadsheets, databases, and query tools.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data, identify issues, and implement solutions.
- Excellent organizational, management, and leadership skills, with the ability to see the big picture while managing details.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
- Experience in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures.
