is proud to announce our inaugural Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Hematology/Oncology Fellowship beginning July 1, 2026 in beautiful Yuma, Arizona. We are seeking compassionate, motivated, and adaptable Nurse Practitioners (NP) or Physician Assistants (PA) ready to take the next step in their professional journey.

Position Summary
This 12-month paid fellowship provides immersive, hands-on training in Hematology/Oncology alongside experienced physicians and APP preceptors. Welcoming both recent graduates and experienced providers seeking to transition into the specialized field of Hematology/Oncology.

Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
  • National board certification in your discipline
  • Eligible for Arizona licensure

Program Overview
The APP Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at Onvida Health is a 12-month immersive training program designed to prepare Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for specialized practice in oncology care. The program follows a 40-hour workweek, including 36 hours of supervised clinical practice and 4 hours of didactic learning. Fellows will participate in structured clinical rotations with a progressive increase in autonomy. At least 50% of the fellowship is focused on Hematology and Medical Oncology, with core rotations and educational experiences in: Radiation and Surgical Oncology, Palliative Care, Lung Nodule Clinic, and research. Weekly didactic sessions include simulations, lectures, tumor boards, and integrated physician-led education. Our fellowship integrates Quality Improvement / Evidence-Based Practice projects with mentorship, peer support, and wellness to foster professional growth and well-being. There is no tuition for the fellowship, and it will be eligible for accreditation through APPFA following the completion of the first cohort.
