Job Summary:

Medical City Plano is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife to provide high-quality, evidence-based midwifery care in a hospital setting. This role encompasses comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care, with privileges to perform clinically relevant procedures under indirect physician supervision.

Qualified Candidates:

  • Master's degree or equivalent from an accredited midwifery program
  • Certified Nurse Midwife through the American Midwifery Certification Board
  • Active, unrestricted Texas RN and APRN license (or ability to obtain)
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications
  • Eligible for hospital privileges, including clinical competency validation, case log documentation, and proctoring
  • Opportunity to participate in operative obstetrics, including surgical first assist, within a physician-led model
  • Demonstrated competency or willingness to complete ultrasound training and required proctoring
  • Comfortable working in a hospital labor and delivery environment
  • Commitment to patient education and family-centered care
