Bloomfield, Connecticut – Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)

Clinical Role

• Permanent position with a well-established multispecialty group

• Seeking a board certified or truly board eligible Certified Nurse Midwife

• Join a growing OBGYN Department

• Provide full-scope midwifery care

• Comprehensive prenatal care for low-risk obstetric patients

• Perform deliveries at Hartford Hospital with access to a Level IV NICU

• Call: 1 in 5 for labor management and deliveries

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate diagnostic procedures and order/interpret labs and imaging

• Interpret fetal heart rate tracings and non-stress tests

• Provide OB/GYN patient counseling and education

• Prescribe medications and controlled substances per Connecticut law

• Perform and document complete OB/GYN evaluations, including pelvic and cervical exams

• Order/administer injections and IV medications

• Assist and triage patient calls

• Screen for postpartum depression

• Document all aspects of patient care in EPIC

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Midwifery program

• Certified by the American Midwifery Certification Board

• Active Connecticut license required

• CNM experience preferred; new graduates with labor & delivery experience welcome to apply
