Job description
ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking 1–2 experienced NP/PA Midwives with hospital-based practice experience to support clinic care and provide backup call coverage. This role combines outpatient women’s health services with call responsibilities, working collaboratively with rotating OB/GYN physicians to support deliveries and inpatient needs. Candidates must be comfortable practicing in a hospital setting and managing a full scope of women’s health care (excluding endoscopic procedures).

Weeknight call

24-hour weekend call one week per month

Job Details / Responsibilities
-
Provide full-scope women’s health services in the clinic setting
-
Prenatal care, including routine OB visits and management of normal pregnancies
-
Natural and emergency deliveries in collaboration with the on-call OB/GYN physician

Postpartum care and patient education
-
Routine gynecologic care: pelvic exams, Pap tests, contraception counseling
-
IUD and Nexplanon insertion and removal
-
Assist with C-sections alongside OB/GYNs
-
Care for female patients across the lifespan

EMR systems: Meditech (hospital), Centricity (birth center), eClinicalWorks (clinic)

Support staff includes clinic MAs, clinic RNs, and hospital-based RNs
Required Skills & Qualifications

Certification: Board Certified NP or PA Midwife (required)

Licensure: Active Oregon license (required)

Certifications: BLS, DEA, ACLS, and NRP (required)

Experience:

Prior hospital-based midwifery experience required
-
No new graduates; home-birth-only midwives will not be considered

Clinical Skills:

Competence in prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care

Experience assisting with C-sections
-
Strong collaboration skills with OB/GYN physicians
