- Other details: The facility which is trauma level 1 is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours only. Coverage is needed for midwife call on March 12, 13, 17, 22, and 23; April 10 and 21; May 8, 24, and 26; and June 5, consisting of 24-hour in-house shifts from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. with no additional call, as the full shift is in-house, and providers are ideally expected to arrive the day prior for orientation. The scope of practice includes assessing, diagnosing, monitoring, and promoting health for adolescent and adult females, with a focus on pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, gynecologic care, and care of the well newborn during the first 28 days of life. Certified Nurse Midwives may admit patients under MD consultation, provide care in intensive care settings in accordance with unit policies, and assess, stabilize, and determine the disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policies regarding emergency and consultative services.

Job Responsibilities
* Assess, diagnose, monitor, and manage care related to pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period
* Deliver gynecologic care and provide care for well newborns during the first 28 days of life
* Admit patients to the hospital under consultation with an MD
* Assess, stabilize, and determine disposition of patients with emergent conditions in accordance with medical staff policies
* Provide care in intensive care settings as permitted by unit policies
Qualifications
* Ability to provide in-house call coverage for 24-hour shifts
* Comfortable working collaboratively with physicians and clinical staff
* Able to complete orientation prior to the first scheduled shift
Working Hours
* No additional call; full shift is in-house
* Coverage dates: March 12, 13, 17, 22, 23; April 10 and 21; May 8, 24, and 26; June 5
* Arrival the day prior to the first shift is preferred for orientation
