Overview:
Our client is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join a group of 3–4 CNMs providing high-quality care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including telehealth. This locum tenens opportunity offers 10–14 days of coverage per month, encompassing clinic days and six call shifts, with support from two employed physicians and locum physicians.
Responsibilities:
- Provide midwifery care in outpatient, inpatient, and telehealth settings.
- Participate in scheduled clinic hours and call shifts assigned.
- Collaborate with employed physicians, locum physicians, and CNM colleagues to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care.
- Ensure quality documentation in Cerner EMR.
- Follow institutional protocols for patient care and escalation.
- Take post-call (off) day following 24-hour weekday call shifts as recommended.
Qualifications:
- Current WI RN, Midwife, and APNP licenses.
- Active WI DEA registration.
- Certification as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM).
- Experience in obstetrics and gynecology preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Schedule & Call:
- Coverage includes clinic days and six call shifts per month.
- Call is 1:4 or 1:5 ratio, with 15-minute response time.
- Recommended post-call off day following 24-hour weekday call.
- Holidays include New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and Christmas Eve (½ day).

- EMR: Cerner
- Support Staff Provided: 3–5 staff depending on shift
- Travel: Chippewa Valley Airport or MSP
Additional Information:
- This position does not require overnight call at home; call shifts are on-site.
- Locum coverage will be in a supportive environment with a dedicated team of CNMs and physicians.
