Locum Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) – Full Time Coverage

Schedule:

• Hospital: M-F, varies

• Office/Clinic: 8a-5p M-F

• Call Schedule: 1 in 3. Clinic days are 3 days per CNM

• 24-Hour In-house: No

• Call Back Percentage: Weekday – 80%; Weekend – 80%; OB – 80%; GYN – 20%

Caseload:

• Practice Type: OB/GYN

• Low risk pregnancy: 50%

• High risk pregnancy: 50%

• C-Section: 20%

• Office GYN: 35%

• Surgical GYN: N/A

• Response Time: 20 min

• Average number of patients per CNM per day (clinic): 10–12

• Average number of deliveries per CNM per week: 6

• Number of staff in the group: OB/GYN – 3; CNM – 3; MFM/Perinatologists – virtual

• OB/GYNs present during locum coverage: YES, as 2nd call

Required Procedures:

Obstetrics:

• Low risk pregnancy – pre-existing problems, history of twins, toxemia, pyelonephritis, hyperemesis, etc.

• High risk pregnancy – toxemia, diabetes, Class II+ cardiac issues, chronic lung or renal disease, etc.

• FHR interpretation – NST/CST/FSE

• OB ultrasounds – Interpretation Level I/screening (viability)

Labor and Delivery:

• Routine delivery – Vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for C-section

• Complicated delivery – C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, etc.

• Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations

Gynecology:

• Office/minor gynecology – IUD, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.

Submission Requirements:

• Board Certified CNM – REQUIRED

• CO License or IMLC – REQUIRED

• Must be available to provide full time coverage – REQUIRED (no less than 3 weeks/month)

• COVID Vaccinated – REQUIRED

• Must disclose # of years of Epic experience and last MM/YYYY used – REQUIRED
