Job Title: Behavioral Health Specialist - White Mountains, AZ

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) to provide exceptional mental and behavioral health care services in White Mountains, Arizona. This full-time role involves working with a diverse patient population, including adults, adolescents, children, and families, to address a wide range of mental health issues. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of therapeutic expertise, compassion, and commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide evidence-based and culturally competent behavioral health treatment and interventions.
  • Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans and goals, updating and modifying as needed.
  • Establish positive, trusting rapport with clients and involve family members when appropriate.
  • Perform telehealth interventions and group therapy services.
  • Use DSM-5 for diagnosis and evidence-based behavioral health assessment tools.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of client progress and add to the multidisciplinary care plan with patient and/or family input.
  • Provide psycho-education during individual or group visits.
  • Triage patients with severe or high-risk behavioral health problems and refer to community resources and/or additional behavioral health services.
  • Conduct risk assessments as indicated.
  • Provide resources to meet financial, transportation, housing, and other needs.
  • Maintain thorough and confidential patient records.

Secondary Functions:

  • Monitor outcomes and develop process changes to improve care.
  • Participate in staff meetings, forums, and seminars.
  • Review department and hospital-wide policies and procedures annually.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, or related behavioral health field from an accredited school.
  • Current independent licensure (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, Psychology) in the state of Arizona.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a clinical setting.
  • AZ fingerprint clearance card (required within 14 days of hire).
  • BLS/CPR certification (preferred upon hire; required within 30 days of hire).

Physical Demands & Job Conditions:

  • Light work involving walking, standing, and handling of materials.
  • Exposure to computer work, constant standing, and interactions with upset individuals.
