Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac Medical-Surgical Unit. This role involves delivering high-quality, individualized nursing care to patients with complex cardiac conditions, including heart failure, arrhythmias, post-cardiac surgery recovery, and other cardiovascular disorders. The RN will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced acute care environment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments during admission and each shift, identifying and communicating any significant changes in patient status.

Carry out provider-ordered procedures and monitoring; document all aspects of care accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record.

Administer medications as prescribed, observe for therapeutic and adverse effects, and intervene as necessary.

Deliver exceptional patient-centered care by responding to patient needs proactively and compassionately.

Provide clear and effective education to patients, families, and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and post-discharge instructions.

Qualifications
Active RN license in good standing (Florida or compact state).
Must have recent acute care RN experience:
Within the last 3 years, OR
Within the last 5 years if candidate has multiple years of prior RN experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be obtained within 30 days of start date).
Cardiac and Med-Surg experience preferred but not required.
