Availability

Full-time Monday–Friday availability is required.

Candidates must be willing to work both shift types:

• 8-hour shifts: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM

• 10-hour shifts: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM

Candidates unwilling to work both 8-hour and 10-hour shifts should not be presented.

Pediatric comfort is required.

Licensure & Certifications

• Pennsylvania license not required to apply

• Candidates who need to obtain a Pennsylvania license will be considered

• ACLS required

• BLS required

• CPR required

• PALS required

• DEA not required

Clinical Details

• Care team model; CRNAs do not work solo

• APP/Mid-Level coverage available

• Hospital averages approximately 40–60 cases per day

• Approximately 75% adult / 25% pediatric

• No pediatric cases under age 13

• Must have pediatric comfort

• Concurrency is 3:1 or less, with a target of 3:1 during heavy volume and pediatric cases

• Physicians also work some rooms independently

• Team-oriented environment with everyone working together

• Anesthesia techs available at most locations to assist with machine checks, line setup, and other support

Typical cases include:

• General

• ENT

• Plastics

• Ophthalmology

• Retina

• Orthopedics

• Urology

• GYN

• Endocrinology

CRNAs may perform lines, epidurals, and spinals if they have prior experience completing these procedures.

Schedule & Workflow

• Staff start: 7:00 AM

• First case wheels into room around 7:23 AM

• Turnover: approximately 17–22 minutes, depending on case

• Case volume begins to taper after 1:00 PM, although several cases consistently continue through approximately 7:00–11:00 PM
