Job Details

• Position: Locum Tenens CRNA
• Specialty: General Anesthesia
• Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,180 - $6,510
• Setting: Inpatient and outpatient surgical environments
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Schedule: 3-4 shifts per week, with options for 4 x 10-hour shifts or 3 x 12- to 13-hour shifts; one rotating Saturday each month
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: December 7, 2026
• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30 days
• EMR: Epic
• Call: No call required

CRNA Job Requirements

• Active Virginia CRNA license required
• Board certification required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required through the AHA
• Minimum 2 years of CRNA experience required
• Academic medical center or Level I trauma experience preferred
• Recent inpatient experience preferred
• Comfort working with ASA 3+ patients preferred
• Must be confident practicing full CRNA scope of practice
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required
• Two professional references required with submission

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care across the main OR, outpatient surgery, and endoscopy settings
• Deliver safe, efficient patient care for adolescent, adult, and end-of-life populations
• Work collaboratively with anesthesiologists, residents, and fellow Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) in a fast-paced, team-based environment
• Support a broad mix of surgical cases in a large, high-volume clinical setting
• Deliver high-quality anesthesia services while maintaining excellent patient safety standards
• Adapt to varied schedules and rotating weekend coverage as needed
• Manage preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative anesthesia responsibilities within CRNA scope
