Locum Tenens CRNA Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,870–$7,240
- Assignment: Initial 13-week locum tenens opportunity with potential for ongoing work
- Location: Syracuse, New York
- Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
- Call: No call required
- Clinical Areas: Operating rooms, endoscopy, cardiac lab, and ambulatory surgery
- Patient Population: Patients age 16 and older, including adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
- Supervision: Physician supervision with an approximate 1:4 ratio, and 1:2 for cardiac cases
- Technology: Epic electronic medical record
- Blocks: Block scheduling is not required
CRNA Job Requirements
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist credential through NBCRNA
- Active New York State CRNA license
- At least 1 year of CRNA experience
- Ability to practice independently within a supervised anesthesia care model
- Experience caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-safety skills
CRNA Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive general anesthesia care for a diverse surgical and procedural patient population
- Evaluate patients before procedures and develop individualized anesthesia plans
- Administer and manage anesthesia while monitoring patient response throughout procedures
- Support anesthesia services for operating room, endoscopy, cardiac, and ambulatory surgery cases
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition and manage anesthesia-related complications
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, registered nurses, scrub technicians, circulators, and anesthesia technicians
- Complete accurate clinical documentation in Epic
- Promote a safe, efficient, and compassionate patient-care experience
