Locums – Syracuse, New York, CRNA Opening

Clinical Role

• Start December 2026 with ongoing coverage through June 2027
• 2-3 full-time CRNAs needed
• Locums, locum-to-permanent, and permanent candidates may be considered
• Supervised practice model with CRNAs expected to function independently within their scope
• Adult and geriatric patients, including ages 16+

Schedule & Coverage

• 10-hour shifts, 7:00 am-5:30 pm
• No call required
• Dedicated CRNA coverage is provided for evenings, nights, and weekends

Practice Setting & Case Mix

• Hospital operating rooms
• Endoscopy unit
• Cardiac lab
• Ambulatory surgery center
• 15 main ORs and 4 ambulatory surgery center ORs
• Level II Trauma Center
• Regional blocks are not required

Practice Model & Support

• Anesthesiologist supervision
• General supervision ratio of 1:4
• Cardiac supervision ratio of 1:2
• CRNAs should be comfortable functioning without the supervising Anesthesiologist continuously in the room
• Scrub technicians, RN circulators, and Anesthesia technicians available
• Epic EMR

Requirements & Credentialing

• NBCRNA certification required
• Active New York license required
