Locum tenens opportunity available for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at a Level 1 Trauma Center in Lexington, KY. This role involves working in a dynamic hospital environment, providing anesthesia care for various surgical specialties including orthopedics, trauma, vascular, and neuro. The position offers a flexible start date beginning on or after September 21, 2026, with a typical schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care across various surgical specialties, including orthopedics, trauma, vascular, and neuro.
  • Perform intubations, central line placements, and arterial line placements.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, anesthesia techs, and residents in a medically directed environment.
  • Ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes in a high-acuity setting.

Qualifications

  • Board Certification: NBCRNA
  • State License: Required (State of KY; open to licensing)
  • Certification in intubation, central line, and arterial line placement is required
  • Minimum of 1-year experience in a large medical center
  • Level 1 trauma experience required

Working Hours

  • Typically, Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • No overtime; holiday rates apply for specific holidays

Skills

  • Proficiency in intubation, central line and arterial line placement
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, team-oriented Level 1 Trauma Center environment
  • Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in teaching and patient care environments
