Join a nationally recognized academic medical center in Charleston, South Carolina, providing anesthesia services across a diverse range of surgical specialties. This ongoing locum opportunity offers a medically directed practice model, exposure to complex cases, and the chance to work within one of the region’s leading healthcare systems. Providers must be available for full-time coverage and flexible enough to work across multiple MUSC locations based on operational needs.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and post-anesthesia evaluations
• Monitor patients throughout anesthesia care
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative teams
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR
• Ensure compliance with patient safety and anesthesia protocols
• Provide care in both hospital and ambulatory surgery settings
Qualifications
• Active South Carolina License or license well in process
• Minimum 3 years of CRNA experience required
• EPIC proficiency required
• Ability to provide full-time ongoing coverage
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility per MUSC guidelines
Working Hours
• 13-hour guaranteed shifts
• Shift options:
o 6:00 AM – 7:30 PM
o 8:00 AM – 9:30 PM
• 30-minute unpaid lunch
• Some weekend shifts required
• No call responsibilities
