Job description
Join Our Premier Anesthesia Team as a Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Henry Ford Hospital – Detroit, MI

Henry Ford Hospital, a leading Level 1 trauma center, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to augment our hospital-based anesthesiology team. This vital role offers flexible scheduling, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to contribute to world-class patient care in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. Make a meaningful impact in a renowned healthcare setting while advancing your professional expertise.

In this temporary role, you will provide anesthesia care across a variety of inpatient surgical procedures, including general surgery, neurosurgery, and complex sedation cases, managing adult patients and select pediatric populations. Under supervision, you will collaborate closely with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff to deliver safe, effective anesthesia, perform preoperative assessments, monitor patients throughout procedures, and participate in ongoing safety and quality initiatives. This position involves managing ventilation, overseeing physician-administered regional anesthesia, and responding promptly to emergencies, all while documenting care accurately in Epic EMR.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced CRNAs seeking flexible, day-shift assignments without on-call or weekend obligations. It requires current NBCRNA certification, valid state licensure, and active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Candidates must have a minimum of several years of professional experience with a strong record of safety and competence. New graduates are not eligible.

The position offers an hourly pay rate of $201, with weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits (W-2), paid sick leave, and a generous referral bonus program. Reimbursements for mileage, licensure, certification, and travel expenses (when applicable) are provided. The expected credentialing timeframe is approximately 90-120 days.

Key requirements:
  • Current NBCRNA certification
  • Valid state license (fully licensed, with no pending licensure)
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Minimum professional experience (no new graduates)
  • Comfort working in a high-volume trauma setting
  • Ability to work day shifts (8, 10, or 12 hours), with no on-call or weekend shifts
  • Willingness to undergo credentialing and background checks

Preferred additional skills include experience in neurosurgical cases, ventilation management, and regional anesthesia oversight, which will be considered advantageous.

Seize this excellent opportunity to enhance your anesthesia career within a top-tier hospital while enjoying competitive pay and supportive team resources. If you meet the qualifications and are ready to make a difference, we encourage you to apply now and take the next step in your professional journey.
