Locums – Detroit, Michigan | CRNA Opportunity

Clinical Role

Join a busy Level I Trauma Center providing high-quality anesthesia care in a collaborative, hospital-based environment. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced CRNAs seeking flexible day shifts, no call, and exposure to diverse surgical cases.

Start Date: May 1, 2026
Assignment Type: Coverage for employee leave and vacation

Position Highlights:

  • Flexible shift options (8, 10, or 12 hours)

  • No call required

  • High-acuity, Level I Trauma environment

  • Broad case mix with adult and limited pediatric patients

  • Strong team-based care model under supervision

Schedule & Coverage

  • Day shifts only (8, 10, or 12 hours)

  • Flexible scheduling based on facility needs

  • No nights or call requirements

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

  • Setting: Hospital-based (Level I Trauma Center)

  • Patient population: Adults with limited pediatrics

Case Mix Includes:

  • General surgery

  • Neurosurgical cases

  • Deep sedation / MAC

  • Ventilation management

  • Oversight of physician-administered regional anesthesia

Responsibilities Include:

  • Preoperative assessments and patient education

  • Administering and monitoring anesthesia

  • Managing ventilation and intraoperative care

  • Responding to emergencies in coordination with care teams

  • Collaborating with anesthesiologists, surgeons, RNs, and techs

  • Accurate documentation in Epic EMR

  • Participation in quality and safety initiatives

Support & Technology

  • Supervised care model

  • Collaborative perioperative team environment

Technology:

  • EMR: Epic

Requirements

  • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

  • NBCRNA Board Certification required

  • Active Michigan RN license required (must be in hand at submission)

  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA) required

  • Clean malpractice and license history required

  • Must be willing to work variable day shifts

  • No new graduates
