Clinical Role
Join a busy Level I Trauma Center providing high-quality anesthesia care in a collaborative, hospital-based environment. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced CRNAs seeking flexible day shifts, no call, and exposure to diverse surgical cases.
Start Date: May 1, 2026
Assignment Type: Coverage for employee leave and vacation
Position Highlights:

Flexible shift options (8, 10, or 12 hours)

High-acuity, Level I Trauma environment

Broad case mix with adult and limited pediatric patients

Strong team-based care model under supervision
Schedule & Coverage

Day shifts only (8, 10, or 12 hours)

Clinical Details & Responsibilities
-
Setting: Hospital-based (Level I Trauma Center)
-
Patient population: Adults with limited pediatrics
Case Mix Includes:
-
General surgery
-
Neurosurgical cases
-
Deep sedation / MAC
-
Ventilation management
-
Oversight of physician-administered regional anesthesia
Responsibilities Include:
-
Preoperative assessments and patient education
-
Administering and monitoring anesthesia
-
Managing ventilation and intraoperative care
-
Responding to emergencies in coordination with care teams
-
Collaborating with anesthesiologists, surgeons, RNs, and techs
-
Accurate documentation in Epic EMR
-
Participation in quality and safety initiatives

Collaborative perioperative team environment
Technology:

EMR: Epic
Requirements
-
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
-
NBCRNA Board Certification required
-
Active Michigan RN license required (must be in hand at submission)
-
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA) required
-
Clean malpractice and license history required
-
Must be willing to work variable day shifts
-
No new graduates
