Clinical Role
Join a high-volume, well-structured anesthesia team in Columbia with the opportunity to work across both hospital and ambulatory surgery center settings. This role is ideal for CRNAs seeking consistent full-time work, variety in cases, and a collaborative care team model.
Start Date: Flexible
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Highlights:

Full-time only (must work all 4 weeks per month)

Flexible scheduling options: 5x8s, 4x10s, or 3x12s
-
Work within a large, experienced anesthesia department
-
Willing to license qualified candidates w/compact license
-
Non-local candidates only (50-mile radius rule)
Schedule & Coverage
-
40-hour work week
-
Rotations may include ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) in:
-
Lexington
-
Irmo
-
Northeast Columbia
-
-
Typically rotate to ASCs up to once per week (occasionally twice)
-
May finish shift at ASC or return to main hospital depending on case timing
Clinical Details & Case Mix

High-volume environment: ~150 anesthetics daily across all sites
-
Practice setting: Hospital + Ambulatory Surgery Centers
-
Case types include:

General surgery
-
GYN
-
Orthopedics
-
Urology
-
Vascular
-
-
Additional coverage areas: IR, Cath Lab, EP, OB, MRI
Department Overview:
-
31 ORs (25 in daily use) + 9 non-OR anesthesia sites
-
Team of 70 CRNAs and 15 anesthesiologists

Care model: Medical Direction
Support & Technology:
-
Anesthesia tech support
-
EMR: Epic (highly preferred)
-
Equipment: Glide Scope, Alaris IV pumps, Draeger anesthesia machines
Requirements
-
Board Certified CRNA (NBCRNA)
-
Active South Carolina license or compact license accepted
-
ACLS, BLS, PALS required
-
Minimum 2 years of experience required

No regional/block skills required
