  • Position: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – General Anesthesia, Per Diem / PRN
  • Location: Florence, SC 29505 — coverage at facilities within a 60-mile radius (travel required)
  • Employment Type: Per Diem / PRN (per diem CRNA jobs)
  • Start Date: May 18, 2026
  • End Date: May 19, 2026 (potential to extend)
  • Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts (flexible; 8- or 10-hour shifts available)
  • Shifts Per Week: 3 shifts/week (approx. 36 hours/week)
  • Openings: 1 CRNA
  • Clinical Setting: Perioperative / Operating Room — general anesthesia cases across a variety of surgical procedures

Qualifications / Job Requirements

  • Active South Carolina CRNA license required (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist)
  • Minimum 1 year of CRNA experience in general anesthesia and perioperative care
  • Proven skills in airway management, anesthetic techniques, and hemodynamic monitoring
  • Ability and willingness to cross-credential and provide coverage at multiple clinical sites within a 60-mile radius
  • Flexibility for varying shift lengths and per diem scheduling (PRN availability)
  • Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills; experience coordinating with surgical teams and perioperative staff

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, evidence-based general anesthesia care across a broad range of surgical procedures
  • Perform pre-operative assessments, intra-operative anesthesia management, and post-anesthesia monitoring in the PACU/Recovery area
  • Manage advanced airway procedures, hemodynamic stability, and multimodal perioperative pain control
  • Coordinate care with surgeons, nursing staff, and perioperative teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate, timely anesthesia documentation and comply with hospital policies, safety standards, and quality improvement protocols
  • Participate in orientation, cross-credentialing, training modules, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide per diem coverage at multiple clinical sites based on credentialing and scheduling needs
