Job Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia for a diverse range of medical procedures including OB, thoracic, orthopedics, and GI
- Perform spinals, epidurals, and manage anesthesia in a Level 2 trauma designated environment
- Rotate between the main OR, satellite hospital, and surgery center
- Provide coverage for call shifts as scheduled
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required
- Must obtain AHA Certifications and hold a valid VA license at the time of submission
- Experience with Level 2 trauma cases and proficiency in spinals and epidurals are a must
- Experience in OB, thoracic, and pediatric dental/ENT cases required
Working Hours
- Monday–Friday, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- One call shift per 8-week schedule either 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM or weekend call 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Must be available for one holiday shift per schedule
Skills
- Strong proficiency in anesthesia administration, particularly in Level 2 trauma, OB, and thoracic procedures
- Ability to manage a diversified case load independently
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to effectively coordinate with the scheduling team and confirm shifts
- Capability to adapt to various clinical settings and patient needs within the facility's requirements
