A leading academic medical center in Charleston, South Carolina is seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for locum coverage within an anesthesia care team model.
The CRNA will provide anesthesia services across multiple hospital locations within the health system. The role involves working in a collaborative team environment supporting surgical services at a Level I trauma center.
Cases include a wide variety of surgical procedures, excluding obstetrics, cardiac, and regional block cases.
Providers should be comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment while delivering safe and effective anesthesia care.

• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative anesthesia process
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists and surgical teams in the anesthesia care team model
• Evaluate patient medical history and anesthesia risk prior to procedures
• Maintain patient safety during anesthesia induction, maintenance, and recovery
• Document anesthesia care using Epic EMR
• Adapt to scheduling needs across multiple hospital sites within the system
Qualifications
• Active South Carolina CRNA License or license in process
• Minimum 3 years of anesthesia experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Ability to work across multiple hospital locations within the health system
• Strong clinical skills in anesthesia care and patient monitoring
Working Hours
Shift Length: Approximately 13.5-hour shifts
Lunch: 0.5-hour unpaid lunch break
Weekend coverage may be required depending on scheduling needs.
Assignment Duration: Minimum 3 months with option to extend
Call: No call required
