Job description
A large academic medical center in Charleston, South Carolina is seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum assignment providing anesthesia services within a Level I trauma center inpatient surgical environment.
This opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of surgical specialties while working within a medically directed anesthesia care team model. The CRNA will collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and operating room staff to provide high-quality anesthesia care across multiple surgical disciplines.
Providers will work in a fast-paced hospital setting with access to advanced surgical technologies and a collaborative anesthesia team.
Job Responsibilities
• Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia administration
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative teams
• Provide anesthesia care within a medically directed anesthesia care model
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation using Epic EMR
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to anesthesia care standards
Qualifications
• Minimum 3 years of anesthesia experience preferred
• Active South Carolina license or ability to obtain
• Experience working in hospital-based surgical environments
• Strong familiarity with Epic EMR systems preferred
Working Hours
Assignment Duration: Minimum 3 months with option to extend
Shift Length: 13.5 hours
Shift Options:
• 6:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• 8:00 AM – 9:30 PM
Includes 30-minute unpaid lunch break
• Some weekend shifts may be required
• No call coverage required
