Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) – Locum Opportunity
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Start Date: As soon as credentialed
Shift: Night shifts | 12-, 16-, or 24-hour options | Weekly schedule determined by client
Guaranteed Work Week: 36 hours
Overview
A large hospital system in Pennsylvania is seeking CRNA coverage for night shifts. Providers will be medically supervised in a high-volume environment with exposure to a broad range of surgical specialties. Privileging will include a secondary location, and flexibility is required to meet scheduling needs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver anesthesia care under medical supervision
- Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and obtain patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients
- Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitor patient physiological condition throughout procedures
- Provide clinical interventions as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Active Pennsylvania license preferred; licensing candidates considered for long-term availability
- Minimum commitment: 2 days per week or 2 weeks per month
- Credentialing timeframe: 6–8 weeks (locum temps may be available with similar timeline)
Facility Details
- Supervision model with a 1:4 MD-to-CRNA ratio
- Case types: Primarily OB during night shifts, with a small mix of general, ortho, ENT, neuro, urology, and GI
- EMR: EPIC
