Locums CRNA Opportunity – Michigan Upper Peninsula

ASAP Start | Through September (Option to Extend) | OR + Call | EPIC

Position Overview

A hospital in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula is seeking a Locums CRNA to provide operating room coverage with call. This role offers a strong outpatient case mix, limited inpatient exposure, and a collaborative anesthesia care team with physician anesthesiology support. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently during regular hours and while on call.

• Locums assignment

• Start ASAP through September (option to extend)

• 15% inpatient / 85% outpatient

• Michigan license required (IMLC not accepted)

Schedule & Call

• Monday–Friday schedule

• Weekend call: typically once per month

• Weekday call: 1 in 5

• OR room time: 7:15 AM

  • Anesthesia staff typically arrive 6:30–6:45 AM

Clinical Coverage & Case Mix

• Primarily outpatient surgical and endoscopic cases

• Case types include:

  • Orthopedics

  • Endoscopy

  • General Surgery

  • Urology

  • ENT

• OB required, including:

  • Labor epidurals

  • Cesarean sections (spinal anesthesia)

• Nerve block experience helpful but not required

EMR

• Epic

Required Experience & Certifications

• Must have recent experience with:

  • Spinals

  • Epidurals

  • Venous catheters

  • Arterial catheters

• Certifications required:

  • NBCRNA

  • AHA BLS

  • AHA ACLS

  • AHA PALS

• Case logs: Minimum 75 cases in the last 12 months

Credentialing

• Typically ~30 days

• Applications prioritized based on start date
