Job Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care for all types of surgical procedures except open heart surgeries.
- Administer general, spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia.
- Perform complex orthopedic and vascular anesthesia, including head, spine, neuro, and thoracic cases.
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team alongside anesthesiologists, anesthesia techs, and SCAs.
- Manage ventilation and acute volume/BP issues, and perform line placements as needed.
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania license
- Certified as a Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Full-time availability with flexibility to work 3-4 weeks per month
- Experience in administering anesthesia for all surgical types listed
- Familiarity with supervised working environments
Working Hours
- Schedule: 5 eight-hour shifts or 4 ten-hour shifts, Monday through Friday
- Overtime: Applicable after 40 hours per week
Skills
- Proficiency in general, spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia
- Ability to perform pediatric, neonatal, trauma, and complex surgical anesthesia
- Competence in post-op epidural and extremity blocks
- Skilled in using x-ray guidance for block performance
- Efficient in CRNA supervision
