JOB OVERVIEW
  • Job Title: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

  • Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient
  • Coverage Type: Scheduled + On Call
  • Coverage Period: 07/06/2026 Ongoing
  • Clinical Shift Schedule: Full-time coverage averaging 40 hours per week; variable shifts rotating between 8, 10, and 12 hours
  • On-Call Shift Schedule: Required; one weekend call per month and two weeknight call shifts per month
  • Call Type: Beeper and in-house as scheduled COVERAGE DATES
  • Start date: July 6, 2026
  • Preferred contract length: 6 months to 1 year with continuous coverage

PATIENT INFORMATION
  • Patient Demographics: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
  • Admissions: Surgical and procedural cases as scheduled and emergent
  • Case Mix: General surgery, orthopedics, spine, neurosurgery, plastics, GI, interventional radiology, MRI, structural heart, and Level II trauma cases

FACILITY INFORMATION
  • No. of Beds in Department: 378 hospital beds
  • Trauma Level: Level II Trauma Center
  • EMR System: Epic
  • Office Equipment Available: Standard anesthesia equipment; scrubs provided
  • Specialty Backup Available: Anesthesiology physician support
  • Support Staff Available: Perioperative nursing staff and anesthesia care team
  • Reason for Coverage: Continuous full-time locum coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
  • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
  • Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 3045 days if licensed; up to 90120 days if licensing is required
  • Name Clear Required: Name, NPI, and license status required prior to submission REQUIRED PROCEDURES
  • General anesthesia administration
  • Spinal anesthesia
  • Level II trauma anesthesia support
  • Anesthesia services across multiple surgical specialties

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Licenses: Idaho CRNA license required; open to licensing
  • Board: NBCRNA certification required
  • DEA: Active DEA required
  • CSR: Idaho CSR required
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year CRNA experience; 6 months may be considered
  • Other Qualifications: Comfortable in supervision-based anesthesia model with up to 4:1 ratio; Epic experience preferred

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide anesthesia care for elective and emergent surgical cases
  • Participate in scheduled shifts and required call coverage
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists and perioperative teams
  • Deliver anesthesia services in accordance with supervision-based care model
  • Document anesthesia care accurately and timely in the EMR
  • Comply with hospital policies and credentialing requirements
