Job Responsibilities

This position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to formulate anesthesia plans, perform pre-anesthetic evaluations, administer anesthesia during procedures, and provide comprehensive intra- and post-operative care
Additionally, as a member of the 'Code Blue' Team, the CRNA responds to emergency situations, providing critical airway management, resuscitation, and administering emergency fluids and medications as needed

Conduct pre-anesthetic evaluations and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop anesthesia plans
Administer various forms of anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
Provide intra- and post-operative anesthesia care, monitoring patient vital signs and adjusting anesthesia as necessary
Serve as a member of the 'Code Blue' Team, responding to emergency situations throughout the facility
Perform emergency airway management, resuscitation, and administer emergency fluids and medications
Establish effective working relationships with all levels of staff within the MEDVAMC
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures

Qualifications

Must have a degree in nursing from a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate state accrediting agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: (a) The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), an accrediting arm of the National League for Nursing; or (b) The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), an accrediting arm of the American Association of colleges of Nursing (AACN). (c) In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of a Certificate from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) will meet the requirement of graduation from approved school of professional nursing. -OR- (2) Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program approved by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) at the time the program was completed by the applicant.
• Must be able to pass a federal background investigation.

Working Hours

Schedule will be part time varied from 8hr, 10hr, and 12hr shifts both days and nights
7AM to 3 PM weekdays
7AM to 5 PM weekdays
12 Hour Shifts:
7 AM to 7 PM weekends and federal Holidays (main emphasis)
7 AM to 7PM weekdays
7 PM to 7 AM week ends, weekdays, and federal Holidays (if needed)
