Seeking 2–3 experienced Locum Tenens Anesthesiologists for urgent coverage. This role supports a medically directed anesthesia practice within a high-acuity, Level I trauma environment and requires flexibility to work across multiple inpatient and outpatient locations as scheduling demands.
Facility Overview
The operating area serves as the central receiving unit for a Level I academic trauma center and includes:
21 Operating Rooms covering all surgical specialties
Trauma, Transplant, Orthopedics, Neuro, ENT, GU/GYN, Robotics, and Burns
Interventional Radiology Suite
Non-OR anesthesia locations including CT, MRI, Bronchoscopy, Neuro-Angio, and Interventional Radiology
Job Responsibilities
Practice Model: Medically Directed
Care Team: Approximately 42 CRNAs
Cases per Day: 3–5
Schedule
Shift Options:
6:00 AM – 7:30 PM
8:00 AM – 9:30 PM
Shift Length: 13.5 hours
Weekends: Some weekend shifts required
Case Types Include:
General Anesthesia
Neuro & Spine
Orthopedics
Oncology (ENT, GYN, Urology)
Excluded Cases:
No OB
No Cardiac
No Regional Blocks
Qualifications
Active South Carolina medical license or license well in process
Proficiency with Epic EMR required
