Overview
UMH-Sparrow Lansing is seeking a highly skilled and dependable CRNA to provide independent anesthesia coverage at our Endoscopy Center beginning January 1, 2026, through Summer 2026. This position is perfect for experienced anesthesia providers looking for a stable weekday schedule with no call responsibilities. The CRNA will independently manage cases involving MAC anesthesia for adult and geriatric patients, supporting the department during a period of short staffing. The role offers a supportive environment with dedicated staff, engaging cases, and a focus on quality patient care.

Required Skills
- Valid Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification
- Active state licensure in Michigan or eligibility for licensure
- Proven experience with MAC anesthesia in an outpatient or ambulatory setting
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong knowledge of endoscopy procedures like EGD and colonoscopy, including biopsies when necessary
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Excellent communication and judgment skills
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience in endoscopy or outpatient anesthesia care
- Familiarity with solo anesthesia cases involving adult and geriatric populations
- Additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in NursingAnesthesia
- Minimum of 2 years of professional anesthesia experience, ideally in outpatient or endoscopy settings
- Prior experience working independently in a clinical setting
Other Requirements
- Credentialing completion within 60-120 days
- Ability to travel to the facility; mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
- Orientation fee paid at half the hourly rate
- Availability to start on 01/01/2026 and work through Summer 2026
- Willingness to handle 10-16 cases per day, including EGD, colonoscopy, and combined procedures
