Job description
This supervised CRNA position offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative anesthesia team at a respected Michigan hospital, serving a diverse patient population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. The role focuses primarily on general surgical anesthesia, with additional exposure to neurosurgical cases and spinal anesthesia. Providers will operate in a structured, team-based environment within a Level II Trauma Center with no on-call responsibilities.
Schedule / Dates

Shifts: Four (4) 10-hour shifts per week

On-Call: None (strictly scheduled shifts)

Setting: Hospital-based, Level II Trauma Center

Case Volume: ~50 surgical cases per day across multiple ORs

Credentialing Timeframe: 60–120 days
Job Details & Responsibilities

Administer anesthesia for general surgical procedures for adult and pediatric patients.

Provide anesthesia care for neurosurgical cases, ensuring proper neurological monitoring pre- and post-procedure.

Perform spinal anesthesia and local infiltration anesthesia when required.

Manage ventilation and continuously monitor respiratory status during procedures.

Work under the direct supervision of anesthesiologists within a collaborative team environment.

Conduct comprehensive perioperative monitoring (pre-op, intra-op, post-op).

Document all care using Epic EMR.

Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and anesthesia best practices.

Rotate across multiple operating rooms based on daily needs.

Respond to emergencies and assist with airway management, including intubation if needed.

Contribute to a high-volume surgical schedule within a Level II trauma setting.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Board-Certified CRNA – Required

Active Michigan license – Required

Clean background – Required

AHA ACLS & BLS certifications – Required

PALS certification – Required

Minimum 1 year of CRNA experience (no new graduates) – Required
