Job description
We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide locum services at a Level I trauma hospital in Southern California. This is an excellent opportunity for providers seeking high-acuity cases, flexible scheduling, and consistent weekday and weekend coverage. Coverage is needed beginning January 2026 for an ongoing contract with potential for an ongoing placement.

Setting: Acute care hospital, medical direction model with faculty supervision
Schedule: 12-hour shifts; start times vary (6:30 AM, 9:30 AM, or 11:30 AM); weekends required (minimum 3 per month)
Coverage: Scheduled shifts only; no call required
Shift Commitment: Full-time preferred; locum provides availability and site schedules accordingly
Support Services: Anesthesiologists supervising up to 3 CRNAs; training site for residents
Patient Population: Adults only; high acuity, complex co-morbidities, trauma patients on weekends
Procedures: General cases (ortho, gyn, general surgery); no OB, pediatrics, or hearts
Charting: Epic
๐ Requirements:
Board Certification: Required
License: Active California license required (must be in hand; EMSA not accepted)
Certifications: COVID-19 vaccine + booster required (no exemptions); flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
Experience: Trauma Level I experience within the last 2 years required
Charting Experience: Epic required
References: Two supervisory references required

Credentialing timeframe: 30โ45 days
Providers who work at UCSD cannot work at this facility as locum
CPI certification required (or MAB for ED nurses)
Compliance documents due the Wednesday prior to start
Parking available at discounted daily rates with agency badge
