Job description
We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide locum services at a critical access hospital in Alaska. This is an excellent opportunity for providers seeking solo practice experience, consistent weekday scheduling, and long-term placement potential. Coverage is needed beginning December 2025 for a 6โ12 month contract with potential for ongoing placement.

Setting: Critical access hospital, Trauma Level IV
Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours (7:00 AM โ 3:30 PM); MondayโFriday
Coverage: Scheduled shifts + required after-hours call (weekdays and weekends)
Shift Commitment: Full-time preferred; 5x8s with call rotation
Support Services: Solo CRNA practice; independent providers with physician support available for complex cases
Patient Population: All ages; variable daily census (5โ15 patient contacts)
Procedures: General OR cases, OB department support, ED support, occasional arterial and central lines
Charting: Epic
Hospital Size: 25 beds
๐ Requirements:
Board Certification: NBCRNA required
License: Active Alaska license required (expedited credentialing available)
Certifications: BLS, SCLS, PALS, NRP, ATLS required
Experience: Solo practice experience preferred; must be comfortable with independent anesthesia care
Charting Experience: Epic proficiency required
๐ Additional Notes:
Credentialing timeframe: ~30โ90 days depending on privileges
Standard privileges: 1.5 years; temporary privileges available for up to 120 days
Independent practice model โ CRNAs must be confident in autonomous decision-making
Schedule includes weekday OR coverage plus assigned after-hours call rotation
No rounding or admissions required
