Job description

Job description We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide locum services at a Level I trauma hospital in Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for providers seeking high-acuity cases, flexible scheduling, and long-term placement potential. Coverage is needed beginning February 2026 for an ongoing contract with potential for an ongoing placement.

🏥 Job Details:

Setting: Acute care hospital, Level I trauma center

Schedule: Day shifts (8, 10, 12, or 16 hours available); Monday–Friday; full-time required; must be available on Fridays

Coverage: Scheduled shifts only; no call required

Shift Commitment: Full-time preferred; 40 hours per week guaranteed

Support Services: Medical direction model (loosely supervised)

Patient Population: Adults only; highly complex trauma and surgical patients

Procedures: Neuro, ortho, trauma, general surgery, GYN, endoscopy; no cardiac, OB, or pediatrics

Charting: Epic

📋 Requirements:

Board Certification: Required

License: Active Virginia license required; compact accepted; open to licensing candidates

Experience: Trauma Level I experience preferred; must be comfortable with high-acuity cases

Charting Experience: Epic preferred

📝 Additional Notes:

Credentialing timeframe: ~75–100 days depending on paperwork completion

Schedule options include 8, 10, 12, or 16-hour shifts; 5x12s also available

Full-time availability required; no part-time or block scheduling

Highly complex patient population in a Level I trauma environment
