We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide locum services in Quincy, IL. This is an excellent opportunity for a CRNA looking for consistent weekday coverage in a collaborative, hospital-based setting. Coverage is needed beginning ASAP and ongoing for 6 months.
🏥 Job Details:
Case Types: General surgery, orthopedics, trauma (Level II), neuro, plastics, OB, ENT, endoscopy, urology/cystoscopy, and healthy pediatrics. No cardiac or transplant cases. Physicians handle blocks and cardiac cases.
Setting: Acute care hospital and ambulatory surgery center; Level II Trauma Center
Schedule: Full-time preferred; minimum 1 week/month considered if full M–F availability is provided Shifts: 5x8s only (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with 30-minute lunch) No weekends, no call, no 10s or 12s available
Support: Medically directed care team model (typically 3 CRNAs per 1 MD) Anesthesia techs assist with setup and support for complex cases
EMR System: Allscripts (transitioning to EPIC in early 2026)
Hospital Size: 140 beds; 9 operating rooms Average surgical volume: ~60 cases/day across hospital and surgery center
✅ Requirements:
Active CRNA Certification (NBCRNA)
Illinois license required (open to licensing candidates; expect 5–6 month lead time)
DEA and CSR preferred
BLS and ACLS certifications preferred
New graduates welcome
Must be comfortable with a broad range of cases or open to learning; limited restrictions may impact scheduling
Clean background required
📋 Credentialing:
Estimated timeframe: 6–8 weeks once full file is submitted
Zoom interview required
References: Minimum two physician referrals preferred
