We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide locum services in Sacramento, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for a CRNA looking for long-term weekday coverage in a high-acuity, hospital-based setting. Coverage is needed beginning June 2025 and ongoing for 12+ months.
🏥 Job Details:
Case Types: General anesthesia, orthopedics, gynecology, general surgery, neuro, ENT, vascular, OB, and GI. Includes special procedures such as vent management, central lines, arterial lines, and PA catheter placement. No open-heart cases.
Setting: Acute care hospital; Level I Trauma Center
Schedule: Full-time only; 10 or 12-hour day shifts available Monday–Friday coverage; no call required
Support: Medically directed care team model with CRNA supervision Collaborative department with high-acuity surgical volume
EMR System: EPIC
Patient Population: Pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
✅ Requirements:
Active CRNA Certification (NBCRNA)
California license required (not open to licensing candidates)
DEA and California CSR required
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of CRNA experience preferred
Experience in Level I or II trauma centers preferred
Teaching hospital experience preferred
COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
Clean background required
📋 Credentialing:
Estimated timeframe: 30–45 days once full file is submitted
Zoom interview required
References: Minimum two physician referrals preferred
