Overview:
A leading healthcare system in the Pittsburgh, PA area is seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for PRN coverage (up to 2 days per week). This role offers flexible scheduling, diverse case exposure, and a collaborative medical direction model.

Position Details:

• Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area

• Schedule: Up to 2 days per week (PRN)

• Shift: 8-hour shifts, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Monday–Friday, no weekends)

• Call: No call required

• Model: Medical Direction, 1:3 supervision ratio

• Operating Rooms: 4–6 ORs within a 133-bed hospital

• Support Staff: 2–3 MD anesthesiologists

• Case Types:

  • Orthopedic and Ortho-Hand

  • General Surgery (including robotic)

  • Cystoscopy

  • Cataracts (occasional)

  • Plastics and GYN (including robotic)

  • Cardiology cases (TEE’s, cardioversions)

• AAs: Not utilized in Pennsylvania

• EMR: EPIC

Requirements:

✅ Active PA RN License (required to practice)
✅ ACLS and BLS (AHA approved)
✅ Minimum 5 years of experience as a CRNA
✅ Must be comfortable with all case types listed above
✅ PA Child Abuse Clearance + 2 additional background checks required for license
✅ Candidates employed by the health system (W2) in the past 5 years are not eligible
✅ Credentialing timeframe: up to 60 days (temporary privileges available in ~6 weeks)
✅ Minimum commitment: 2 days per week preferred

Compensation:

💰 Competitive hourly rate: $250
