Location: Northern Navajo Medical Center – Shiprock, NM
Northern Navajo Medical Center (NNMC), part of the Navajo Area Indian Health Service, is seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a rewarding locum/contract role. This position offers flexible contract lengths (1 immediate opening, 1 in December), competitive compensation, and the chance to provide meaningful care to the Navajo Nation and surrounding communities.
Compensation & Benefits

$240/hour – all hours worked

$40/hour – flat call rate (nights, weekends, holidays)

$1,000 weekly travel stipend (covers travel + lodging)

Malpractice coverage included
Schedule
-
Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

On-call evenings, weekends, and holidays on rotation
-
Overtime may be required as needed
Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia care for surgical and emergency cases

Manage patient care before, during, and after anesthesia
-
Collaborate with surgical/anesthesia staff on care plans

Ensure accurate clinical documentation in the EHR
-
Adhere to quality, safety, and cultural sensitivity standards
Qualifications

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Minimum 1 year (52 weeks) of CRNA experience

Active, unrestricted U.S. license (any state/territory)

Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS

Up-to-date immunizations & medical clearance

Must pass federal background checks
