• Job Title: CRNA - General
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Location: Columbia, SC
• Service Setting: Acute Care Hospital
• Coverage Type: Clinical + Call
• Coverage Period: 12/01/2025 – 13 weeks
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 7:00a – 7:00p (8s or 10s, flexible)
• On-Call Shift Schedule: 1 weekend day every 12 weeks
• Call Type: In-House
• Call Ratio: 1:12 weekends
• Call Response Time: Within hospital requirements

COVERAGE DATES
• 12/01/2025 – 3/2026 (13 weeks)

• Patient Demographics: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 100 cases/day
• Rounding: Included

• Case Mix: Wide range including pediatrics and trauma

FACILITY INFORMATION
• No. of Beds in Department: Level 1 Trauma Center with pediatric hospital
• Trauma Level: Level 1
• EMR System: Epic
• Office Equipment Available: Standard anesthesia department equipment
• Specialty Backup Available: Full medical direction model with anesthesiologists
• Support Staff Available: Adequate anesthesia technicians
• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental full-time locums coverage

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
• Temporary Privileges Available: No
• Credentialing Timeline: 90–180 days depending on license status

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
• Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Included in rate

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Provide anesthesia coverage across 16 NORA sites (GI, Specials, MRI, EP, Cath lab)
• Manage anesthesia care in trauma and pediatric cases
• Care for patients age 2 years and above

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active South Carolina license required (IMLC not accepted)
• Board: Board Certified (NBCRNA)
• DEA: Not required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in practice post-training
• Other Qualifications: Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide anesthesia services under 100% medical direction in a Level 1 Trauma setting
• Deliver care across multiple NORA sites and pediatric hospital settings
• Perform preoperative evaluations and administer anesthetics safely
• Manage intraoperative anesthesia and monitor patient recovery
• Document all procedures and patient care accurately in Epic EMR
