- A hospital system in Detroit, MI is seeking a Board-Certified CRNA to provide locum coverage for a leave of absence beginning January 2026.
- The assignment involves working within a supervision model across two surgery centers.
- The provider must be comfortable handling pediatric cases, in addition to general surgical anesthesia.
- Local candidates are highly preferred, though travel providers will be considered if costs are included in the capped rate.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform general anesthesia and IV sedation for specialties such as plastics, ENT, orthopedics, podiatry, and robotic surgery.
• Participate in pain management cases (0–10 daily).
• Work under a supervision model with a team that includes an MDA, surgeons, RNs, scrub techs, and sometimes residents.
• Document care accurately within the Cerner EMR system.
• Rotate coverage between two surgery centers, with most days scheduled at the primary 12 Mile location.
Qualifications
• Active Michigan license – Required
• ACLS & BLS (AHA only) – Required
• Clean background – Required
• Pediatric case experience – Required
Working Hours
• Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• 5 shifts per week, typically 8 hours per shift
Skills
• Strong documentation skills using Cerner EMR
• Ability to work within a collaborative anesthesia care team model
• Flexibility to cover multiple locations when scheduled
